Good Saturday morning, everyone!
We are waking up to scattered high level clouds and lows in the cool 50's. As the day unfolds, a partly sunny sky is expected with southerly winds of 5 to 20 mph. Temperatures will respond, warming back to summertime readings in the 80's and low 90's. Amarillo should top out near 87. Also, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms will be possible across our western counties. Amarillo and the vicinity appear to be on the eastern fringe. Severe weather is not expected but stay weather aware if in a thunderstorm environment. Lightning, sudden gusty winds, and brief heavy downpours will be the main concerns.
