A man was stabbed to death in Claremont, authorities said Saturday.

The stabbing was reported at 11 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of South Indian Hill Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The mortally wounded man was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, said sheriff’s officials. His name was not released pending notification of relatives.

Additional information about motive and suspects was not available. Homicide detectives were conducting a crime scene investigation, sheriff’s officials said.
