SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Dr. Ian Roberts, the Des Moines superintendent detained by immigration authorities, is being held in the Woodbury County Jail, according to the jail’s online records.
Those records show Roberts was booked into the jail at about 5:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, the same day he was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The Woodbury County Law Enforcement Center has a contract to house federal inmates. Roberts is one of several individuals being housed in Woodbury County for ICE-related cases. There were reports of Roberts being held in Pottawatamie County, near Omaha, but jail officials stated to KTIV reporters that he was not there.
