A 35-year-old man now faces a murder charge for last week’s suspected drive-by shooting that killed a young father from Stouffville while he was on a golf trip with friends in Wisconsin.

Giovanni Michael Robinson was found suffering from a gunshot wound around 12:10 a.m. Wednesday in downtown Sheboygan Falls, Wis.

D espite the life-saving efforts of emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheboygan Falls police department, with assistance from other area police, conducted a search warrant on Friday and arrested a suspect.

Luis E. Cruz Burgos is charged with first-degree reckless homicide.

Robinson, who just became a dad in August, had sent his family a photo from his trip of his first hole-in-one at the Whistling Straits Golf Course on Tuesday.
