LEBANON, Ky. — Fewer than 10,000 people reside in Lebanon, Kentucky.

For one weekend each year, Lebanon swells to 30,000 as people return home to celebrate the festival.

The first Marion County Country Ham Days festival was held in 1969. Nena Olivier, executive director of the Lebanon Tourist and Convention Commission, said it is one of the oldest festivals in Kentucky.

"When September 1 hits, that's kind of when Ham Days starts in Marion County," said Olivier.

Pigs decorate storefront windows across downtown. You'll find pigs in front of homes and businesses, including Farmers National Bank.

Inside the bank lobby, pig figures are on full display.
