Hurricane Humberto was elevated to a Category 5 storm as it moves through the Atlantic — but a new more dangerous storm, dubbed Tropical Depression Nine, is rapidly developing and could smack the United States in days, the National Hurricane Center said on Saturday morning.
Tropical Depression Nine is expected to only strengthen through Sunday night as it heads into central and northwestern Bahamas and eventually turn into a hurricane that will be dubbed Imelda on Saturday night or early Sunday.
Southeastern states have already preparing with at least one declaring a state of emergency.
