Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut on Saturday hit back at the Congress after her name was invoked in a jibe over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Odisha’s Jharsuguda, calling it a case of “character assassination" and “anti-women" politics.

During his visit, PM Modi inaugurated Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s (BSNL) indigenous 4G stack, marking India’s entry into a select group of nations capable of producing homegrown telecom technology.

“Narendra Modi Ji is the Prime Minister of India, chosen by the people three times for this responsibility. He can travel to any part of the nation and work for people’s development. As for mindlessly dragging my name into it, why am I the untouchable? Why my name is always used in creepy undertones and gossipy connotations? What have I done?
