MADISON, Wis. -- A Madison Police Department officer was injured in a squad crash while assisting an outside agency on Saturday afternoon.

Madison police said the officer has serious injuries and is currently in stable condition

The Dane County Sheriff's Office said its reconstruction team along with the Wisconsin State Patrol will be investigating the crash.
