The concert is the first ever staged at 98-year-old Michigan Stadium.

It’s also the biggest ticketed concert in U.S. history, having moved more than 112,000 seats when it went on sale in February.

Anticipation was thick inside and outside of Michigan Stadium on Saturday (Sept. 27) as fans piled into Ann Arbor for the historic football palace’s first-ever concert.

With headliner Zach Bryan on tap, joined by a slate of openers including John Mayer, the University of Michigan site was abuzz with a long day of tailgating and excitement.

The show is a milestone event in a couple of big ways: It’s not just the first concert staged at the 98-year-old Big House. It’s also the biggest ticketed concert in U.S. history, having moved more than 112,000 seats when it went on sale in February.
