Emotional Rory McIlroy admits he will let others judge their poisonous acts after a toxic afternoon at Bethpage ended in glorious triumph.
The Northern Irish superstar was subjected to some outrageous taunting and fan behaviour in his match alongside Shane Lowry.
Lowry also copped it, but nothing compared to McIlroy with extra security drafted into the match and police dogs even on the scene at one point.
McIlroy and Lowry were subjected to horrendous abuse all the way around with officials involved and a statement made by the PGA of America over the situation.
Through it all, the pair refused to bend and hugged warmly on the final green as they secured a two-up success over Justin Thomas and Cameron Young.
