DENVER (KDVR) — Select store-made deli items sold at Albertsons Companies' stores, including locations in Colorado, have been recalled due to possible listeria bacteria contamination.

The company issued a press release on Saturday stating that it has voluntarily recalled Ready Meals Pesto Bowtie Pasta Salad and Basil Pesto Bowtie Pasta Salad sold at Safeway and Albertson stores in Colorado.

Albertsons Companies said the product supplier, Fresh Creative Foods, had initiated the recall due to the products containing a "recalled bowtie pasta ingredient" manufactured by Nate’s Fine Foods of Roseville, California.

This comes after the U.S. Agriculture Department issued a public health alert on Friday for certain heat-and-eat pasta meals sold at Walmart and Trader Joe’s. The recall was due to
