Hurricane Humberto Surges to CAT 5 Strength but TD9 prompts Tropical Storm Watches for US East Coast

While Tropical Watches are in effect for our Coastal Communities, hazards will not begin until Sunday afternoon. So, as we kicked off the weekend today highs returned to the lower nineties and upper eighties with isolated showers. The better chance for rain and storms will be across our eastern most counties tonight with the overall flow being from West to East ahead of a stalling front. With these showers moving towards the Atlantic Coast there is the chance for a sea breeze collision to spark a stronger storm tonight, the best chance will be east of I-95 but expect rain to fade after midnight.
