FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin College recently announced it continues to climb in college and university rankings based on the recently released 2026 U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges Rankings Report.

It moved up 55 places this year in the National Liberal Arts Colleges category for Top Performers in Social Mobility, ranking 30th (tied) out of 191 institutions — placing it among the top 16%.

This indicator measures how effectively colleges graduate students who receive federal Pell Grants. Franklin College President Kerry N. Prather said the recognition underscores both the institution’s strategic priorities and the dedication of its faculty and staff.
