ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis will enjoy a stretch of warm, dry weather Sunday and into the first part of this week, with temperatures running well above normal for late September.
Clear skies overnight will bring lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Each day will feature plenty of sunshine and low humidity, with highs climbing into the mid- to upper 80s. That pattern is expected to hold into early next week.
While the local forecast looks calm, the tropics remain active. Hurricane Humberto, a Category 4 storm, is expected to stay out in the Atlantic. Tropical Storm Imelda, however, is gaining strength and could become a hurricane by Tuesday. Forecasters say Imelda may bring heavy rain, flooding, and beach erosion to the Carolinas and Southeast coast early next week.
