Nagaland is expected to witness increased rainfall in the coming days, with a likelihood of “heavy to very heavy” downpour at isolated places on October 2, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD’s All India Weather Forecast Bulletin, issued on Sunday evening, indicated that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are very likely at isolated locations across Nagaland on September 29.

Rainfall intensity is expected to increase on September 30 and October 1, with “heavy rainfall” predicted at isolated places.

The peak is anticipated on October 2, when the bulletin stated: “Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.”
