PORT ANGELES — For the second time in two years against the same team, the Port Angeles women’s soccer team set a school scoring record, beating Shoreline 23-0 at Wally Sigmar Field on Saturday.

Shoreline has a struggling women’s program. The Dolphins have yet to score in five games this year and were also beaten 18-0 by Skagit Valley. In 2023, Peninsula beat Shoreline 20-0 to set the previous school scoring record.

A number of reserves scored for the Pirates, especially in the second half when the entire bench got to play. A total of 25 Peninsula women got into the game. Peninsula was led by Grace Widergren, who scored five goals and added a pair of assists.
