The New York Jets (0-3) visit the Miami Dolphins (0-3) in a Week 4 race to see if either team can get its first win on Monday Night Football. Kickoff from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami is at 7:15 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's NFL odds around the Jets vs. Dolphins odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
The Jets gave the Tampa Bay Buccaneers all they could handle in Week 3 but lost on a walkoff field goal 29-27. They covered as 6.5-point dogs. QB Tyrod Taylor gave a valiant effort, going 26-for-36 for 197 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT and rushed 8 times for 48 yards. He was in for starting QB Justin Fields (concussion), who is back for this one. WR Garrett Wilson caught 10 balls for 84 yards and 1 TD.
The Dolphins fell to 0-3 with a 31-21 loss, covering as 11-point dogs. QB Tua Tagovailoa was 22-for-34 for 146 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. RB De'Von Achane was fairly effective on the ground, rushing 12 times for 62 yards, and he caught 7 balls for 29 yards. Their problem is their run D, which was third-worst in the league entering Week 4 with 145 rushing yards allowed per game.

Jets at Dolphins picks and predictions
Prediction
Dolphins 24, Jets 20
Moneyline
The Jets have beaten Miami just twice in the last 10 meetings, dating back to 2020. None of those were in Miami. They did take the 'Phins to OT in a 32-26 loss last year, though. I think they keep it within range, but the Dolphins just have too many more weapons.
That said, there is no chance I'm taking the Dolphins at -150. They could lose this game, and we could see our first head coaching casualty if that happens. Instead, give me JUSTIN FIELDS UNDER 47.5 RUSHING YARDS (-115). He had 48 and 49 in his first 2 games, but he's coming back from a concussion. I don't know how willing he'll be to toting it and running. That's certainly a tall total under the circumstances.
Against the spread
I'll take the DOLPHINS -2.5 (-120). As mentioned, Fields is returning from a concussion. If he's timid or changes his game at all, they're in trouble as he's not very good in the pocket.
Over/Under
LEAN UNDER 44.5 (-110). We're right on the edge here, but I see more field goals than explosive plays in this one.
