£225,000 has been slashed from the asking price for a historic local pub which has been closed for over a year.

The Tipperary Inn closed in May 2024 with the owners blaming the "current economic climate".

Having temporarily been listed as 'under offer' by agents Savills, the Meer End pub is back for sale once again.

Previously priced at £1 million, it is now priced at £775,000.

Since closing, The Tipperary has shown the signs of ware with a garden table propping up the wall of the porch area.

Nub News reported this damage - and the fact the sign is hanging off its hinges - in April, but it is yet to be fixed.

It is thought another crash caused the damage to the front of the building, after a car hit the other side of the building and caused significant damage in June 2022.
