A video showing a clash between two groups is being shared on social media, where users have claimed that it shows visuals from Nepal’s anti-corruption protests, led by Gen Z.

A section of social media users have also shared the clip to claim that it shows visuals of people in Punjab chasing out migrants from Bihar .

But…?: The claim is false, as the video shows visuals from Indonesia’s protests in August 2025.

How do we know?: We noticed some riot shields in the video, which carried the word ‘POLISI’, which stands for ‘Police’ in Indonesian.

Taking a cue from this, we ran a reverse image search on a screenshot of the video, supplementing it with ‘Polisi’.’
