COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)-We'll continue the trend of beautiful weather as we start a brand new work week, expect plenty of sunshine then a few clouds building this afternoon. High temperatures today will reach the middle 80s which is normal for this time of the year, a little breezy today with gust out of the northeast around 20 mph.

Tropical Storm Imelda formed over the weekend and while the current track now takes it away from the United States, it will get slightly close enough that clouds will begin to move in by Tuesday lasting through Wednesday. I can't rule out a few stray showers on Tuesday, especially across east Alabama but most will stay dry.

A push of cooler air will arrive just in time for the first few days of October, expect more sunshine and high temperatures in the upper 70s
