Investigators say the killing happened Saturday night in Reserve.

St. John Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said he and his deputies were shaken by the brutality of this weekend's killing.

"Shocking, unbelievable and almost unreal," Tregre said.

According to investigators, officers responded around 9:30 p.m. Saturday to a report of shots fired in the 300 block of Railroad Avenue, not far from Riverside Academy.

"We were then informed that an individual was by the car and appeared to be loading a body inside of a Dodge Charger, orange in color," Tregre said.
