Bedrock plans to drape a large American flag on the side of the Hudson’s Detroit office building in November, bringing back a tradition from the former J.L. Hudson department store downtown.

The concept called "The Flag at Hudson's" is described in city documents as a “large-scale display of the Star-Spangled Banner, hearkening back to historic flag displays from the Hudson’s Department Store.” The conceptual drawing shows a flag hanging from the level 11 office terrace down to the level five office courtyard.

The installation is part of Bedrock’s petition to host “Decked Out Detroit Winter Streetscapes + Activations,” a seasonal lineup of events
