No ‘Flo’, no go …

At least not enough in terms of the win column recently or enough pressure put on opposition quarterbacks, say the free-fallin’ Calgary Stampeders.

So … with rush-end Folarin ‘Flo’ Orimolade sidelined for the season, the team has opted to bring in help by acquiring all-star Lorenzo Mauldin IV via a significant Canadian Football League trade made Sunday.

A veteran of 87 career CFL regular-season and playoff games, defensive end Mauldin was an East Division and league all-star in both 2022 and ’24 and was voted the CFL’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2022.

“We’re very excited to have Lorenzo on the team,” said Stampeders GM/head coach Dave Dickenson. “We’ve seen first-hand that he is one of the premier defensive linemen in the league.”
