“What drew me into pharmacy originally wasn’t the memorization and studying of medicine, but the education component — being able to help people and consult them on things that ailed them,” the former pharmacist said.

“But working in a retail pharmacy setting, that was never really a highlight. It was more like the traditional sense — you drop off your scrip, and I would fill it for you. There wasn’t much patient interaction.”
