Healey vows necessary changes will be made ‘to ensure public safety’ after Gabriel House fire

In light of revelations about the state’s fire safety inspection system following the deadly Gabriel House assisted living fire in Fall River , Gov. Maura Healey told MassLive “anything that needs to be implemented will be… to ensure public safety."

In an exclusive interview on Friday, Healey said she wanted to be “really clear with the public” that fire safety inspections, specifically sprinkler inspections, are a statewide standard that “must be done.”
