Story and photos by Richard W. Dionne, Jr. Tiverton senior goalkeeper Nick Brennan made 6 saves as the girls field hockey team tied Tollgate 0-0 in a home game on Tuesday night. The Tigers have co-opted with St. Mary’s Bay View Academy this season and are currently 2-3-3 in Division 3 after beating Woonsocket-Burrillville 3-0 and Classical 1-0. “We were able to establish a co-op this season,” said head coach Mikella DaSilva. After scrapping for players the last few years, we now have a program high of 21 players. Every one supports each other. It’s really nice to have a big team.” With five players from Bay View and a bunch of newbies, the team has done a commendable job, said Coach DaSilva.
