PANORAMA CITY – The Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Detectives (VTD) are investigating a hit-and-run traffic collision that killed a man in his 30’s.

The scooter was being ridden north on Woodman Avenue, at Strathern Street, about 9:35 p.m. Sunday when it was struck by a gray Honda sedan that was heading northbound on Woodman, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The impact caused the rider, a man his early 30s, to be ejected from the scooter and land in the roadway.

“Following the first collision, a second vehicle collided with the motorized scooter proceeding northbound Woodman Avenue,” according to a police statement. “The driver in the second collision is cooperating with the investigation.”

Arriving paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
