ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man who was found guilty of shooting and killing his girlfriend in January 2024 was sentenced to prison on Monday.
In August, a jury found Alexander Segura-Ortiz guilty of first-degree murder for the death of Alianna Farfan. According to court documents, Segura-Ortiz shot Farfan during an argument inside a bedroom. Police said Ortiz escaped by jumping out of a window.

Just days after that incident, Segura-Ortiz was accused of shooting and killing Nicole Maldonado at the Adam Food Market.
