ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man behind a 2024 fatal drunk driving crash was in court for a sentencing hearing Monday. Jesus Moreno was sentenced to nine years behind bars for the crash that left Jaime Rios-Martinez dead.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash near Jemez River Rd. on Coors around. That’s where they arrested Moreno, who blew double the legal limit three hours after rear-ending the other car. Judge Cindy Leos sentenced Moreno to nine years behind bars.
