The Hampden business community is on edge after a series of smash-and-grab burglaries.

Baltimore police told 11 News there have been at least four incidents in just the last couple of days, each happening within a mile of each other — and possibly related due to the similar method of operation.

Surveillance video captured two masked men breaking through the glass door of Chuck’s Trading Post and stealing a cash register before quickly fleeing the scene.

“The blessing was there was no one in the building, so there was no harm, which is great,” said Grace Cassar, a manager at Chuck’s Trading Post.

The break-in at Chuck’s Trading Post happened just before 2:30 a.m. Thursday, the latest in a string of overnight burglaries, according to police.
