Alex Caruso became a two-time NBA champion this summer after helping Oklahoma City defeat Indiana in seven games.

Caruso, who previously won an NBA Championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, spoke to the media on Monday for Thunder Media Day. When asked for similarities between the 2020 Lakers and his current team, Caruso said there are few.

"The only similarities really are how short of a time period we had to get back to it," Caruso said. "We only had maybe four or five guys returning from that championship team, whereas this year it was pretty much the exact same DNA of the team makeup."

Caruso, acquired in a trade with Chicago for Josh Giddey in 2024, delivered veteran experience and elite defense to the Thunder.
