Langley City is considering whether to upgrade Al Anderson pool or replace it.

A feasibility study is underway to explore options for either expanding the existing Al Anderson Memorial Pool or building a new indoor aquatic facility, a statement issued by the City said

"As our community grows, we want to make sure our recreation spaces grow with it,” Mayor Nathan Pachal said. “This is about listening to residents and considering the kinds of programs and facilities that reflects their needs, values, and vision for the future.”

That includes evaluating whether additional aquatic facilities may be needed to serve residents year-round and what those facilities could look like.

The study will look at potential program offerings, facility size and location, and cost estimates.
