ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI — A woman met students while employed as a contract food services worker at Mendon Community Schools, later contacting them on social media and allegedly sexually assaulting them, according to a county prosecutor.

Kaitlyn Lee Sand, 28, of Three Rivers, has been charged in connection with alleged sexual assaults involving two minor victims between February and April 2023, St. Joseph County Prosecutor Deborah J. Davis said.

Investigators allege Sand met the victims through her work at Mendon Jr./Sr. High School before contacting the victims repeatedly on social media platforms.
