When X-Men '97 returns, fans should expect a very dark season that includes multiple deaths, according to one of the stars. Ever since Marvel Studios bought the rights to X-Men via its acquisition of 20th Century Fox, anticipation has been building for a return of these fan-favorite Marvel characters.

Even though a reboot hasn't been seen on the big screen yet, Marvel did revive the '90s animated show via a new Disney+ series. X-Men '97 stars Ray Chase , Alison Sealy-Smith, Jennifer Hale, Cal Dodd, Lenore Zann, J. P. Karliak, A. J. LoCascio, George Buza, Holly Chou, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Ross Marquand, Matthew Waterson and Adrian Hough.

The freshman season premiered in March 2024, and X-Men '97 season 2 is expected to arrive on Disney+ in 2026.
