HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - A woman is behind bars after a domestic incident left a minor injured on Saturday in Hattiesburg.

Hattiesburg police officers responded to a call about a child being abused in the 6000 block of Highway 49.

When officers arrived, they were informed that a dispute had taken place between family members, and a 15-year-old boy was injured as a result.

The teenager was transported by a private vehicle to the hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.

After the incident, officers arrested 32-year-old Alicia Jordan and charged her with one count of felonious abuse and/or battery of a child. She has been transported to the Forrest County Jail.
