POPLARVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) - Monday afternoon, the City of Poplarville announced official confirmation for the construction of its new U.S. Post Office.

Congressman Mike Ezell’s office has notified city officials that the White House confirmed the project is scheduled for completion in April 2026.

In a letter to the city, Tehlung (Alex) Liu, USPS Design and Construction Project Manager, stated:

Mayor Louise Smith described the update as a long-fought victory for Poplarville.
