TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Tuscaloosa Police Department says a pedestrian was left with life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a vehicle Sunday night, and the driver is facing felony charges for leaving the scene.

The crash happened at 9:28 p.m. at the intersection of James Harrison Parkway and Greensboro Avenue, according to Tuscaloosa Police.

Investigators say a 34-year-old woman was crossing Greensboro when the driver, turning right from James Harrison Parkway to head north, hit her.

Police say the driver, later identified as 44-year-old Granville Jermaine Hardy, initially pulled into a nearby business after the crash, but left as officers began arriving.
