TOWN OF OSWEGATCHIE, N.Y. (WWTI) - A 27-year-old Heuvelton man is accused of assault against an elderly man.

New York State Police arrested Brandon Hooper and charged him with second-degree assault resulting in injury to a victim aged 65 or older.

Just before 3:10 p.m. on September 28, authorities responded to McIlwee Road in Oswegatchie for an assault complaint.

A subsequent investigation determined that on September 21, Hooper allegedly engaged in a verbal argument with the elderly victim. This altercation escalated when Hooper allegedly grabbed the victim and threw them to the ground, causing physical injury.

State Troopers located and arrested Hooper, then transported him to the state police station in Ogdensburg for processing.

He was arraigned in the Town of Morristown Court and
