A man was found early Monday, Sept. 29, suffering from a shotgun wound in downtown Riverside and later died, authorities said.
At around 4:30 a.m., Riverside Police Department officers responded to the 2900 block of Orange Street, a downtown area with a lot of automotive businesses, according to Riverside PD PIO Ryan Railsback. Officers located a man in a trailer on the property suffering from shotgun wound.
The adult male was transported to a local hospital, where he died.
Police have not identified any suspects, and the motive is currently unknown, according to Railsback.
The name and age of the victim have not been released.
The Riverside PD is currently investigating the fatal shooting.
