Earlier this year, we reviewed the Govee Backlight 3 Lite . Now, Govee is back with the Backlight 3 Pro , which was first announced at IFA 2025 , and it’s a clear upgrade when comparing both.

Installation was super simple again—the strip sticks on easily around the back of the TV, and the app setup takes just a few minutes. We tested the Backlight 3 Pro on a 65-inch LG OLED, which fits the supported 55–65 inch range perfectly. The camera here rests easily on your tv. I wish the Govee logo (it’s a light ‘G’ that you can see when you walk up to it) on the front wasn’t there along the front bottom bar, but otherwise it’s a sleek set up:

Right away, you notice the higher LED density—75 LEDs per metre—which makes colours look smoother and more vivid. On top of that, brightness is up about 30%
