The “Tulsa King” universe is being expanded.

Samuel L. Jackson joined the cast of “Tulsa King” for season 3 , setting up his starring role in the spinoff series “NOLA King.” Jackson plays Russell Lee Washington Jr., Dwight Manfredi’s (Sylvester Stallone) old prison friend who is sent to kill him.

According to the official synopsis, “NOLA King” will follow Russell as he returns home to New Orleans after 40 years to “rekindle his relationship with his family, friends, and to take control of the city he left behind. In so doing, he incurs the wrath of his former employers in New York, and makes himself vulnerable to old NOLA foes, both criminal and cop.”

Production for the new series is expected to begin in early 2026, which means there’s no premiere date for “NOLA King” just yet . Tay
