The man charged with dangerous driving causing death and impaired driving causing death in a head-on collision in the Skead area in 2023 is headed to trial next spring.
Nuno Duraes, 54, who is also facing charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm and impaired driving with a blood-alcohol level over 80 milligrams, will see his judge-and-jury Superior Court trial start April 21.

Duraes is also scheduled to deal with a constitutional issue on March 16, followed by pre-trial motions on April 14.
The case had been at the Ontario Court of Justice level for some time, but moved up to the Superior Court level after the provincial Attorney General’s office issued a direct indictment.
