RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Department of Justice has accused the University of Nevada of providing assistance to illegal migrants in a new letter.

The Civil Rights Division of the DOJ sent a letter to UNR on Friday, saying they had received reports of efforts to assist illegal migrants enrolled at the University.

They say that, on its website, UNR’s UndocuPack office provides assistance to this group “with on-campus and community resource referrals, financial aid and academic support.

They further accuse the University of using resources to steer immigrants towards financial aid, scholarships, and career opportunities that do not require applicants to provide a Social Security Number.
