Ottawa has listed India’s Bishnoi Gang as a terrorist entity, a designation that means anything owned by that group in Canada, including property, vehicles and money, can be seized or frozen.

Many members of the notorious gang operate in Canada and are feared by Indo-Canadians, including Sikhs, for its acts of extortion, drug trafficking, violence and murder.

Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree announced the move today , saying the gang has created a climate of fear and intimidation, Robert Fife and Steven Chase report.
