BALTIMORE —
The Baltimore Ravens commitment to giving back to the flock remains stronger than ever.
As part of the NFL's Crucial Catch initiative, which promotes early detection of cancer, 35 fans who are battling cancer spent Monday getting pampered. The women spent the afternoon touring M&T Bank Stadium and getting their makeup done, as well as receiving a custom-fitted wig.
The little bit of kindness went a long way.
"It's an amazing experience as a ravens fan, but it's really an amazing experience as a survivor," said Risa Schuster, a cancer survivor. "It's a really nice surprise; we were not expecting this today. It's wonderful what they've done for all of us survivors. We have so much to be grateful for and it's nice to be recognized for that."
