One person has serious injuries after being shot at an Arboretum in Tuscaloosa.

Multiple agencies responded to the shooting at the University of Alabama Arboretum located on Arboretum Way Monday, according to the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit (VCU).

As of 2:15 p.m., the VCU was on scene, along with Tuscaloosa Police and University of Alabama Police.

Capt. Jack Kennedy of the VCU said one shooting victim was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

No further details about the suspect and circumstances were made available.
