ATLANTA — The U.S. Justice Department has issued a federal grand jury subpoena seeking records connected to travel by Fani Willis, the Fulton County district attorney who brought a criminal case against Donald Trump over election interference, according to a report published by The New York Times on Friday night.

"As is consistent with Department of Justice policy, we can not confirm nor deny the existence of any investigation," the FBI Atlanta field office said in a statement to 11Alive on Friday night.

A spokesperson for the Fulton County DA's Office told 11Alive Saturday night, "We are unaware of any investigation," saying they can't comment beyond that at this time.
