GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - A suspected serial rapist and killer who was tied to a Greenville woman’s long-unsolved murder has now been linked to the killings of four girls in Texas.
On Friday, investigators in Austin, Texas said DNA evidence identified Robert Eugene Brashers as the suspect in the 1991 “Yogurt Shop Murders.”
Four teens were found bound, gagged, and shot inside an “I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt!” shop that had been set on fire: Amy Ayers, 13; Eliza Thomas, 17; and sisters Jennifer and Sarah Harbison, ages 17 and 15.
The case has been back in the public eye after HBO released a documentary in August about the Yogurt Shop Murders.
Brashers’ face is one well-known to investigators in Greenville, South Carolina.
