AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- A candidate for Austintown Township Trustees appeared in court Monday for the first time since her arrest on a domestic violence charge last week.
Appearing in court in Austintown, Emily Ciccone pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor domestic violence charge. Emily, who is married to Mahoning County Clerk of Courts Michael Ciccone, was arrested last week after police responded to the home where the couple lives in Austintown.
According to a police report, officers found a man bleeding from his leg.
"There are two sides to every story, and like I said, we look forward to her day in court and for the whole story to come out," said Frank Cassese, Emily's attorney.
