MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Police are investigating a multi-car crash in August that killed a woman from Silver Spring.
The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said the three-vehicle crash happened on Aug. 7 at around 8 a.m. at the intersection of Randolph Road and Sherwood Forest Drive.
It is believed that a silver 2025 Toyota GR86 was heading west on Randolph Road when it hit a red 2011 Toyota 4-Runner that was turning left from eastbound Randolph Road onto Sherwood Forest Drive.
The impact from the crash caused the 4-Runner to roll over and hit a black 2025 Buick Envista.
Josephine Gieske, 85, was the passenger in the 4-Runner. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She died on Aug. 22 from the injuries.
